Corn and Cucumbers

Rained all last night, which was great as I had spent the day planting a green manure under the passionfruit vine. The green manure is cowpea and japanese millet. I've also planted this near the pumpkin plant. The pumpkin is growing very slowly and was looking a bit yellow. I exposed some of the feeder roots and covered them with lucerne from the duck cage (covered in moist duck droppings) and then re-covered with mulch. Will see if the pumpkin improves at all.

The two mounds at the back of the main mound are not completed, but getting there. Have one completely covered will all the layers and the back mound 1/2 completed. None of the papaya seeds came up, but will try planting some more.

Have seedlings going at the side of house but no luck with the asparagus- I wonder if its not warm enough or if there is a trick to asparagus?

Corn and watermelon- had to pose in here so that you can see how tall the corn is! Only planted out in early October...
